Marietta (Moore) Henderson went peacefully to be with her Lord at 10:56 P.M. on Sunday, November 14, 2010, at her home in Brown County.. Mrs. Henderson was born at home in Brown County on Sunday, December 3, 1933, the daughter of Roy & Etta Marie (Beauchamp) Moore. She married Max Roy Henderson on June 24, 1950,
Mrs. Henderson is survived by her loving & devoted husband of 60 years, Max, daughters, Jane Ann Knorr & Mary Ellen (Richard) Gaither, as well as her grandchildren, James Robert (Kendra) Henderson, Max Roy Henderson, III, Andrea Ellen ( Josh) Bond, Shelby Thomas Gaither, Bobby Joe Burton, April Joy Knorr, & Charles Lee Knorr; great grandchildren, Dominick Xavier Bond, Christopher Michael Burton, & Hannah Lee Burton.
She is also survived by brothers, Leroy Moore, Beanblossom, Billie (Trannie) Moore, Nashville, half-brother, John Wayne Melton, sisters, Betty (Moore) Graham, Bloomington, Lula Pearl "Dude" Moore, Nashville, & Donna (Don) Petro, Columbus, as well as many nieces & nephews.
Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by parents, Roy Moore & Etta Marie (Beauchamp) Moore Melton, step-mother Mildred Moore, sister, Geraldine (Moore) Ping, son, Max Roy "Bud" Henderson, II, son-in-law, Don Knorr.
Mrs. Henderson was very committed to her family, friends, & community. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star #586, where she served as Worthy Matron in 1964 & District #7 Deputy in 1965. She was a former nurse, employed by Dr. Robert M. Seibel, Dr.'s Kenneth Schneider, Brian Nelson, & Larry Schneider, Cummins Engine Co., & Brown County Health & Living Community.
Visitation will be at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, Nashville, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 16. The public is invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, November 17 at 11:00 A.M. at Harmony Baptist Church, Nashville, visitation Thursday, at 10:00 A.M. There will be no graveside rites.
