Lisa Mae Frye

Lisa Mae Frye, 60, of Bloomington and formerly of Brown County died Saturday March 14, 2015 in IU Health, Bloomington Hospital. She was born December 23, 1954 in Brown County, IN to Denton Howard Merriman and Dolly Mae Wilkerson Merriman. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Eddie “Ed” Frye of Bloomington; a son, Jackie Dean Frye and his wife Toni of Bloomington; two daughters, Lena Mae VanCamp of Ellettsville and Melissa Kay White and her husband Darrell of Solsberry; seven grandchildren, Misty, Greg, Gavin, Morgan, Ian, Patrick and Hailey; one great-grandson, Bryson; four brothers, Robert Merriman and his wife Phyllis, Roger Merriman, Rickey Merriman and his wife Connie and Steven Merriman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Jackie Merriman, Vernon Merriman and Michael Merriman. Lisa loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, working in her flower garden and was a passionate caregiver. She not only took care of her parents but also her in-laws and also helped to raise her younger brothers. Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, in Helmsburg. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Tuesday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
