

Edwin Duaine “Shorty” Slevin, 84, of Nashville, passed away August 4, 2015 at his home. He was born October 7, 1930 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of the late Estain Slevin and Jenny (Bauman) Slevin Clark.
Shorty served his country in the US Army. He was a former truck driver for Hi-Hill Ready Mix and Shelby Materials.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with military rites by the Brown County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
Survivors include his children, Linda (Jack) Yenna, Ellettsville, Duaine Slevin and Bruce (Beth) Slevin, Brown County, grandchildren, Kenneth Petro II, Terri Freeman, and Scott (Katrina) Slevin, and great grandchildren, Chris Wever, Haley Petro, Ashley Wever, Riley Petro and Haven Freeman, and brother, Gene Slevin. He was preceded in death by wife, Lois Slevin on July 22, 2015, his parents Estain Slevin and Jenny (Bauman) Slevin Clark, step father, William “Bill” Clark, and brothers, Charles and Luster Slevin.
