Ed was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, where he served as a Reader. He was a 50 year member of the Webb Lodge in Richmond, IN where he was a Master Mason. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association. He served on the Board of Directors of the Brown County Humane Society and the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Brown County Public Library. He was an Industrial Arts Teacher and School Administrator in the School City of Mishawaka.
Ed enjoyed going to the theatre, Facebooking, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Cheryl Torok Fleming, Ph.D., his four daughters, Deborah Lentz, Mary Sandy, Marguerite Coode, and Juliet Laughlin; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ardeth Brosseau and her husband Don; and a brother, Warren Fleming.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 8, 2015 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, officiated by Father Eric Augenstein. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 7, 2015 at St. Agnes Catholic Church.
