Barbara Kay Taylor, 61, of Nashville passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 in Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born August 13, 1961 in Franklin to George Mathis and Virginia Sisson Mathis. She had previously worked with the ambulance service and in many local restaurants.
Survivors include her two sons, Mitchell (Mary Chell) Mathis, of Nashville and Scott Taylor, of Arkansas; three daughters, Marnie Williams, of Kentucky, Leslie Taylor, of Kentucky and Jessica (Joe) Bolton, of Alabama; five siblings, Leigh Ann (Lanny) Frasher of Nashville, Julia (Larry) Sayer of Mooresville, Sandra (Calvin) Gaither of Nashville, George (Jane) Mathis of Nashville and Sam Mathis of McCordsville; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Arthur “Bill” Taylor; and a grandchild, Charity Taylor.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville with Brother Gary Sisson officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
