Ron was born on April 26, 1933 in Springvale, Maine to Jean and Irene (Canton) Plamondon. He entered the U.S. Navy at age 16. There he went to school, gaining an education that would propel him to a successful career in the U.S. space program and the high tech manufacturing field before early retirement.
On June 21, 1958, he married Joyce Malcolm. They raised two sons and three daughters.
The buoyant personality and solid character that pulled so many to him were anchored in enormous faith. He showed his children the power and the love of God. Their home was filled with love and work and play. After their children were grown Ron and Joyce travelled the globe seeing new places and actually witnessing spectacular spiritual events. They spent winters in different parts of Florida finally settling in a quiet, friendly spot on the Southwest coast in Sarasota County.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Aurel, and his son Gerry. He is survived by his wife Joyce, son Mark and his wife Sandy, daughter Irene and her husband John, daughter Anne and her husband Pete, daughter Gail and her husband David, son Gerry’s widow Ann, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, his brother Harvey, and a loving extended family.
