Raymond J. Brousseau, 94, passed away on August 18, 2022, at Langdon Place in Nashua, NH after a brief period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Doris C. (Grenier) Brousseau and together they celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on February 3rd of this year. Ray was born September 09, 1927 in Central Falls, RI and was the son of the late Theodore and Eugenie (Poirier) Brousseau.
Ray grew up in Central Falls, RI and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy High School in Central Falls in 1946. He served in the United States Army from 1946-1948. Ray went on to graduate from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Ray worked for Sandia National Laboratories, Sanders Associates, and retired from Lockheed Corporation in 1990. Ray enjoyed motion pictures and was a projectionist at several drive-ins and movie theaters in the Nashua, NH area. When living with Doris at Westchester Place in Hudson, NH, he served as Treasurer of the condominium association.
Ray was involved in multiple youth sports programs including being on the Board of Directors of Nashua West Little league for many years. He was an avid reader and movie watcher and was always willing to share a novel or movie plot in detail if you had the time to listen. He enjoyed playing golf into his nineties, mainly playing out of Whip-Poor-Will Golf Club in Hudson, NH. Most of all, Ray loved his family dearly and was best known as Pepere to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ray was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law Armand and Bette Brousseau and his sister, Sister Therese Brousseau. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Donna Brousseau.
In addition to Doris, family members include his two daughters and sons-in-laws, Catherine and Randall Pinsonneault and Diane and John Sirvydas; his son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Tracy Brousseau; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Pinsonneault) Sager and her husband Christian, James Pinsonneault and his wife Tara, Michelle Pinsonneault and her fiancé Michael Lawlor, Melissa (Pinsonneault) Schenck and her husband Brian, Raymond Brousseau, Daniel Brousseau and his wife Alyssa, Samantha (Sirvydas) Whitney and her husband Timothy, Michael Sirvydas; eight great grandchildren, Theodore and Felicity Sager, Nicholas, Conner and Benjamin Pinsonneault, Emmitt Schenck, Nathan and Andrew Whitney.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at a future date.
