Patricia “Pat” L. (Cyganowski) Harrison, 80, of Nashua, NH passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at her home. She was born July 9, 1934 in Boston, MA, a daughter of the late Charles Morris and Julia Florence (Quigley) Harrison.
Pat graduated from Weston High School, Weston, MA with the class of 1952. She attended Sullins Junior College in Virginia and went on to graduate from the Modern School of Fashion and Design in Boston. Pat was a staff Interior Decorator and sold paint and wallpaper for the Baylet Paint and Wallpaper Company in Waltham, MA. Pat married 1st Lieutenant Gerald D. Cyganowski September 7, 1958 and being an Air Force wife; they moved numerous times and lived many places. She was very active in the Officer’s Wives Club. She most recently worked at A.A. Mooney furniture for four years. Pat loved helping others and became very active in her community, especially the Lions Club of Merrimack, NH where she ran the vision and hearing clinic in the Merrimack Public Schools. She won the Lion of the Year award in 2002 and the following year won a special recognition “Little Dynamo” award from her Lions Club. She was also active with Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her son; John H. Cyganowski and his wife Allison of Nashua, her daughter; Dru Anne Cyganowski of Merrimack, three grandchildren; Nadia Catherine, Alexander Marc and Hannah Claire, her brother; Charles “Morry” Harrison, Jr. and her sister in law; Barbara Steidle and her husband James and also by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; Lt. Col. and Command Pilot Gerald “Gerry” D. Cyganowski, Ret. USAF and by her brother and sister in law; Alfred and Mary-Ruth Cyganowski.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua, NH 03060 . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Parish, 216 East Dunstable Rd., Nashua. Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery, 190 Boston Post Rd. Bypass, Weston. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Lions Club of Merrimack, PO Box 246, Merrimack, NH 03054 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
