Mary Ann Laliberte, 99, of Nashua, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 9, 2023. Born in Rochester, NH on July 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jessie Lucier (Tremblay).
Mary Ann grew up in Somersworth and graduated from Somersworth High School. In 1941, she moved to Nashua where she attended St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1945. After successfully completing nursing school, she worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua and eventually retired after 20 years from the Nashua Community Health Dept. She was a member of the NH State Nursing Association and the New Hampshire Hospice Association. One of her many contributions to her community was assisting families who had lost a child to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). After her husband’s passing, Mary Ann devoted herself to helping others through her work with the Hospice Program at Home, Health and Hospice Care. Mary Ann was a parishioner at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Nashua, spending countless hours volunteering her time, and eventually serving as a Eucharist Minister.
She is survived by her son Donald Laliberte and his wife Patricia; 1 grandson, Joseph Laliberte and his wife Alyssa and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her daughter Denise Cram and her husband Peter; 1 step-granddaughter, Kalie Lydon and her husband Christian; 1 step-grandson, Ryan Cram and his wife Rachel and 5 step-great granddaughters; her loving niece, Susanne Price and her family, as well as many friends. She is predeceased by her husband Ernest Laliberte, infant son Paul Laliberte, and her loving sister, Sister Patricia Camillus, O.Carm.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Hunt Community for their exceptional care for Mary Ann since 2009, and also the professional and compassionate care provided by the staff of Bayada Hospice.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis St, Nashua, NH, followed by a burial at St. Louis De Gonzague Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis St, Nashua, NH.
