Martha Pauline Laber, 90, of Nashua, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Born on November 22, 1933 in Hyde Park, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Laude (LaPlante) Churchill.
Martha grew up in Cabot, Vermont after moving there at the age of 5 where her parents owned a farm. She was a loving wife to her husband Robert and devoted Mother to her wonderful children. As her children grew older and her husband began to retire from the U.S. Army after 20 years, she worked at J.F. McElwan for some time. Martha enjoyed traveling with her family, sewing, soap operas, watching the wildlife out of her window, and enjoyed the Churchill family reunions
She is survived by her sons Raymond A. Laber and wife Karen of Merrimack, NH, Larry A. Laber and wife Barbara of Francestown, NH, Robert W. Laber and wife Kathy of Fisherville, KY; daughter-in-law Mary Laber of Nashua, NH; grandchildren Angela Norton of Newmarket, NH, Amy Laber-Brinkler of Hillsborough, NH, Tony Laber of Francestown, NH, Kerri Laber of Merrimack, NH, Candace Snowdale of Auburn, NH, Joshua Laber of Louisville, KY, Christi Thomas of Taylorsville, KY, William Blunden of Madison, MS, and Robert Blunden; and 6 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Robert D. Laber and son Barry A. Laber.
A time of remembrance will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Zis-Sweeney & St. Laurent Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley Street, Nashua, NH, followed by a burial at 1:30 PM at St. Louis De Gonzague Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis Street, Nashua, NH.
