Mark St. Onge, 69, of Laconia, passed away peacefully at the Jack Byrne Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH on October 15, 2020 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Nashua, NH on November 21, 1950 and was the son of the late Raymond and Rita St. Onge. Mark was the husband of Deborah St. Onge, whom he met in high school. They got married on May 5, 1973 and just recently celebrated 47 years together.
Mark attended local schools and graduated from Nashua Senior High School class of 1969. He was very happy that he was able to attend his 50th class reunion last year where he was able to connect with some of his closest high school friends. He earned a Business Administration degree from Daniel Webster College in Nashua. From there Mark went on to become a National Sales Accounts Manager with a major food company where he earned the admiration and respect of many of his colleagues and clients. When Mark retired in 2016, he and his wife moved to Laconia, NH near Lake Winnipesaukee, a favorite vacation spot they enjoyed in their younger years with their beloved dog Max.
Mark will always be remembered by his over the top sense of humor. His gift was to make people laugh. He always said his favorite vegetable was bacon and one of his very favorite sayings was “to make a long story short.” Over the years, Mark enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, and riding his Harley. He loved to watch sports and was an avid lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and the Boson Red Sox. Mark also enjoyed traveling with his family. His daughters have fond memories of the many trips they took all over the country when they were young. His favorite vacation destination was Cancun, Mexico, where he and his wife Debbie enjoyed the beautiful beach, authentic Mexican cuisine and of course a margarita or two.
In addition to his loving wife, Debbie, Mark is survived by his daughter, Meghan Hoose, her husband Ryan and Grandson Maximus, his daughter Courtney Guerrette, her husband Christopher, and Granddaughter Madison as well as his Godson Aaron Thibodeau, wife Tiffinie and their daughter Finlan. Also a number of nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends. Mark is predeceased by his sister Merita Thibodeau and her husband Paul Thibodeau.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date with immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mark’s name to the NH Humane Society.
