

He was born in Biddeford, ME on December 23, 1950, the son of the late Thomas and Eleanor (Rock) Burke.
Ed was educated in the Nashua school system, graduating from Bishop Guertin High School. He was employed for many years for the Hudson Fire Department as a call firefighter and photographer. He owned and operated AquaVentures Dive Shop in Hudson for many years until his retirement. Ed had a love for scuba diving and trained many area police officers and firefighters.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirteen years, Cecile (Gregoire) Burke; two stepsons, Daniel Champagne and his wife Julie of Nashua, and Ronald Champagne of Nashua; a stepdaughter, Joanne Davis of Hudson, NH; nine grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visiting hours were held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, at ZIS-SWEENEY FUNERAL HOME, 26 KINSLEY STREET, NASHUA, NH 03060. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 10 AM at St. Patrick Church in Nashua. Burial followed at St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson, NH. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Edmund’s name to American Cancer Society: Cancer Information & Memorials Donations, 2 Commerce Drive, Bedford, NH 03110.
