Dorothy A. Hurley, 88, of Nashua, died Sunday, November 8, 2015 at her home. She was born on April 19, 1927 in Manchester, NH, and was the only child of the late John and Grace (Brown) Hurley.
After graduating from the Nashua school system, Dorothy went to work at J.F. McElwain Company, shoe manufacturer until her retirement in 1980. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with friends, eating out and the occasional shopping trip. She was a devout Catholic and offered her daily prayers for the needs of others.
She is survived by her cousins, Janice Farmer and her husband Bruce and Gloria Oliver and her husband James. Her final days were spent surrounded by friends. Dorothy considered all of her friends family – and there were many.
There will be no calling hours, a funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis Church - 48 West Hollis St., Nashua, NH on Saturday, November 14th at 11:45 am. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
