Susan, nicknamed Aunt Sue by friends and family, loved to cook and teach the children cooking.
She was the keeper and translator of old family recipes and a mentor who delighted in cooking these recipes with the kids. Cookies and Gingerbread houses were special events for many children in the family and entire town.
She was so 'easy going'. She made nearly everyone feel at ease. Her heart shined so warm and bright that people could naturally sense it and feel it!
Susan is survived by her spouse, John Bosco and son Elias Johnson, plus brothers Stephen Garrison, Mike Garrison and Rami Odeh.
Susan and John met in Homestead FL in 1997 and it was love at first sight. They were married in January 1998.
Besides cooking, Susan got much joy from enjoying nature's beauty. Gardening, birding, butterflies and orchids were also precious to her. Such a pure and simple soul; just meandering through the beautiful forest would put that special smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes.
She loved all of nature's creatures and would frequently stop to rescue and heal a wounded animal. She was such a nurturing person that friends from all around the neighborhood would bring wounded critters to get healed and raised. She once was given a barn owl ejected from the nest and raised it from a chick to full grown adult.
Susan suffered through two bouts of cancer in her life. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the cancer society feels appropriate and is recommended.
In summary…
Sweet hearted Susan Bosco was a loving, giving, caring person that endeavored to help all people and creatures she interacted with.
