My heart breaks for my cousin Bruce and the loss he is feeling as well as for  cousin Alisha to loose a sibling. I look back at the time I took Jake and Alisha to the DC Youth Fair, trick or treating and I still see him playing with his stretch Armstrong.  We are but a vapor in this time on earth.  The WORD tells us to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.  Love deeply with all your heart and validate those you hold dear often for tomorrow we may not have that chance.
Jake until we reunite in heaven you will be missed here on earth. 
Bruce and Alisha I love you both and I am here for you. 

Words cannot ease the pain for Bruce & family loosing son Jake but I do know that Bruce was so proud of Jake because I saw him as a child around the family.
For about 60 yrs I have been friends with Bruce even when I moved away not seeing him much except on trips back to Miami & every time Bruce talked about his children and I could tell they were much of his world.
I’m saddened by the loss of Jake because he was a wonderful young man and saddened for his family and all of us because Jake was the best us.
No, time does not heal, words don’t heal but memories of Jake might ease the pain until we all leave this world.
