Jacqueline C Peters

Born and raised in Steubenville, she survived a horrific car accident on New Year’s Eve of her senior year of high school, leaving her blind in one eye. Even after being in a coma for 13 days, Jackie still managed to graduate with her class at Steubenville Big Red and was offered a scholarship to Ohio State. On a blind date, she met Sam Peters (Petkovich), also from Steubenville, and they married shortly after, and stayed married for over 50 years.

Sam and Jackie made their home in South Florida, raising five children: Debbie Conover (Wayde), Samuel Lee Peters Jr (Sherri), Gary Peters, Jeff Peters (Sharon) and Jill Martin (Michael).

Jackie loved sports and was an avid football fan. She was a homemaker, an avid reader, and took great pride in raising her children and grandchildren. There was no kinder soul on Earth than Jackie. She will missed by all who knew her.
