Cynthia Louise Pierson Hopkins

Cindy was born in Niagara Falls, New York and followed her eldest brother to Homestead in the 1980’s. She loved living in sunny Florida, close to the Keys, where she could enjoy the sunshine and avoid the cold and snow from her childhood. Anyone who knew her would say that she was always happy and a joy to be around, there for you whenever needed, and had the most beautiful and comforting smile. She enjoyed a quiet life with her family and friends and truly lived for both. Cindy’s passing is preceded by her parents’, Herbert and Angeline Pierson; she is survived by her husband, Doug, children, Amanda and Russell, her granddaughter, Stella, and her brothers and sisters: Herb “Bud” and Patty Pierson, Nancy Dolan, and Keith and Claudy Pierson, as well as beloved nieces and nephews. A service will be held to honor Cindy beginning with a viewing at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn (27100 Old Dixie Hwy, Naranja, FL 33032) from 9am-12pm, Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (106 SE 1st Dr, Homestead, FL 33030) at 1pm, immediately followed by her burial at Palms Woodland where she will be laid to rest.
