Gary “Dewey” Agler, 78, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Orchards of Northcrest Nursing Home in Napoleon. He was born on November 24, 1936 to H. Dewey Agler and V. Elzina (Hatcher) Agler. Dewey was a Heavy Equipment Operator, member of Local 18 Operating Engineers, Past Master of Masonic Lodge #289 in Grand Rapids, Ohio, 32nd Degree member of Scottish Rite Masons of America, Maumee Valley of Toledo, Ohio, Past Patron of Triune Chapter#344 Order of Eastern Star. Dewey was an avid Ohio State football fan, enjoyed harness horse racing, and gardening.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sandra (Gary) Wojnowski of Strongsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Gary and Karen Wojnowski; great-grandchildren, Holly Burk and Gabriel Wojnowski; and sisters, Mary Ann Bird of Santa Ana, California, and Shirley Carpenter of Napoleon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Julia D. Agler; brothers and sisters, Elden, Russell, and James Agler, Betty Long, and Lois Smith.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 12pm on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio. Masonic Services will be held at 12 pm and Funeral Services will follow at 12:30 p.m., Pastor Mary Kay officiating. Burial at Glenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Orchards of Northcrest Nursing home.
