Betty M. Gillespie

Betty M. Gillespie (89) of Napoleon, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, August 30, 2012, she was born December 9, 1922 in Napoleon. Her death occurred at the Northcrest Nursing and Rehab Center, Napoleon. Miss Gillespie was employed at Essex Wire Company of Wauseon for 19 years. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 64 years as well as served as historian and on the administrative board.

Miss Gillespie is survived by sister-in-law: Mildred Gillespie of Napoleon as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Morgan and Cornealia (Yetter) Brown, 3 brothers: James, Carl D. and John Gillespie and 3 sisters: Irene I. Gillespie, Alice Ferguson and Ruby Gillespie.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Christ United Methodist Church, Napoleon, Rev. Russell Shaeffer, officiating. Interment will be made in Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon.

Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church or the donor’s choice through the funeral home.
