William "Larry" Smith

He was born on June 24, 1953 in Long Island, NY. Larry graduated from Bellevue High School in Omaha Nebraska and received a Liberal Arts Degree from the University of NH. Larry spent most of his adult life living in Bedford, NH where he raised his family and owned and operated a contracting company building custom homes. He was a devoted father and when he was not working, he could be found on the side of a soccer field, baseball field, or ski mountain coaching and watching his children compete. After retiring at the young age of 48, Larry moved to Naples FL and stayed busy trading stocks and investing in commercial real estate.

Larry is survived by his children Allison Godbout and her husband Brian of Allen, Texas, Justin Smith and his wife Julia of Whistler, B.C.; sister Donna Girard of Palm Harbor FL; four grandchildren Brayden, Gavin, Charlotte, and Katherine and a host of other loving family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” Smith and Lorraine Smith of Ocala, FL.

Larry enjoyed long walks with his chocolate lab Lexi, going to the beach, playing the stock market and a good philosophical conversation or heated political debate.

A Visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm, Monday July 26, 2021 at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens 525 111th Ave. N. Naples, FL.
