My sincere condolences to the family! Although I have just discovered the passing of Wanda, my grief is no less. Wanda and I met through the American Society of Portrait Artists and developed a deep friendship! We liked to believe that we were long lost sisters. 
Wanda was one of the most caring and passionate of people!! Her love of art and Ken were so easy to see and hear!! I have a beautiful portrait of my girls that she painted, that our family will treasure for generations! The beauty she brought to this earth was a gift to many!! We are all better off because of the beauty that emanated from her.

I was so sorry to read about Wanda's passing.  She was a wonderful artist and painted 2 portraits of our son in about 2003.  I was updating some information and came across her invoice and thought I'd see what she was up to - I knew she had left the area (Lake Oswego) but lost touch after that.  She was kind and fun and perfectly captured my son at the moment.  I've attached a picture of one of the portraits she painted on the day she delivered it.  She was the one who advised keeping Buzz Lightyear in the portrait as it captured the moment, his passion and the time perfectly.

My heart goes out to her husband and family.  We'll cherish, even more, the portraits she painted for us.

Wanda, you were my playmate as children.  We had our situations as teens but you were always my 1st sister & my friend.   Your  talent for art showed up very early when we made paper dolls together.  The cloths that you designed for them looked like an adults drawing out of a magazine.   We were very creative children.   You & I had been through so much growing up.  It taught us how to survive when the going gets tough.  One of the best things you ever did was marry your husband Ken.  He & you had  so many wonderful experiences together, moving to all 4 corners of the USA.  He was your encourager & your love. Wanda was an amazing person, artist. I meet her at Marcellos Restaurant, in Danville, CA. She hired me to design her website. I was proud of her beautiful paintings. She was kind and friendly. Very happy person. You could immediately feel a happiness in her heart when you meet her. She was a true artist. I understood her because when you have a talent like she had... you are at peace and incredible happy.  Being an artist and being able to create is a gift of happiness.  I know she had a beautiful life with Ken. They where a beautiful lovely couple.. I will always remember Wanda with a big smile. With Love. Amparo Del Rio

Wanda was my wonderful, beautiful, artistic Aunt.  She was a big part of all our lives and we will forever miss her.  She had a heart of gold and was truly an angel here on earth.  Her passing was quite shocking to us all.  There are so many wonderful memories she helped create.  She was a true blessing in all lives that she touched.  She will be waiting for us with a big smile and open arms. 

This photo is from the wonderful critique group Wanda shared with us in Lake Oswego, Oregon years ago.  We were so sorry to see her leave as she was the core of our group with her loving contributions and her "being."  Our group sends wishes for strength and peace after losing this precious soul.  We are so grateful to have had her in our midst for the time we had.  

I never knew a person more pure love than Wanda.  She shared her spirit with such grace always.  I can't imagine a world without her in it but know we are all the better for having been touched by her.  Such love to Ken and  to Wanda's family for the even greater loss you feel.  

My dearest Wanda, I still can’t believe your gone. You were my BFF for over sixty years. How inseparable we were during our school years. Even tho we lived miles apart, we still saw each other twice a year and talked on the phone often for two hours!          You were a beautiful , kind person inside and out! I will miss you my BFF. Wanda lives on because of the life she lived, in the kindness she showed, the comfort she shared, and the unconditional love she brought into my life.  

She left a hole in my heart and I will miss her terribly.  She will always be like a sister to me. She was truly a gift to everyone that knew her.
