An uncertain future / many surgeries to come
Words that will never be uttered
Steps that will never be taken
A beautiful daughter with porcelain skin
Locked in her own Princess kingdom
Strawberry blonde locks and slender frame
Acute senses and yes, a sense of humor
Eyes that never tire of watching and learning
Dad watches her struggles, has seen her courage and inner strength
She is an old soul who is very trusting and truly understands love
She has been her father's teacher
Because she is so accepting- he does not complain
They share all that life has to offer and reach for more
Her smile is very telling and she knows that she is loved
She is Daddy's little girl, his pride and joy
He is her strength, her Super hero, her Medical Advocate, her caregiver, her storey teller and her clown
He is her Daddy …. Doing what is right by his child
He is a wiser man, a patient and giving man… he understands unconditional love and responsibility
She has been a wonderful teacher for the last ten years and he… a great student of life
Her smile will be remembered as precious and her courage limitless
She will be missed morning noon and night by all who knew her
She is running free, laughing and talking to all who will listen
Telling tales of her father, her friend…her everything.

Scott, Missy, & family...

I don't even know where to began or where to find the words to say. We're so very sorry for your loss. Sydney was one of our daughter, Kenidi's, best friends at school. They were in class together last year and still saw each other at certain moments even this year. We just got the call from Terri last night regarding Sydney's passing. Although I did not know Sydney personally, she was a household name in our home. Our Kenidi adored Sydney and adored pushing her in her wheel-chair any chance she got. As you can relate, our daughter was mainly non-verbal. She has a select few words she can say and one of those words was "Sydney." Kenidi is a girl who can only get a handful of words to form on her tonegue and come from her mouth.  (and she picked “Syndey” as one of those words) That means in her small, precious, and very restricted world...Sydney meant so much to her. When these special needs kiddo's love...they love hard. Our Kenidi loved Sydney with all her heart. They have a select few friends that grace their heart as they grow and Sydney left a lasting impression on our daughter. We have many photos of Sydney here in our albums from last year and Kenidi points her out and knows her by name everytime. 

I wish the school would've told us sooner regarding Sydney's passing. Thank goodness we got the call from Terri. My husband and I really would've liked to have helped your family in any way we could have over the past few days. Please let us know if you'd like any meals or have any errands that we could run for you. Any way we can help, we will. 

Again, although we don't know you personally, we know Sydney through our little Kenidi Grace and couldn't be more heartbroken for the two of you and your family. I haven't been able to stop the tears since I found out last night. I tossed and turned all night long worrying about the pain you're enduring at this time. We cannot even begin to fathom. May God provide you the strength to press on during such a horrific time. Please know our family is lifting you up in constant prayers and that Sydney will continue to be a household name in our home.
