Steve was born on January 9th, 1962 in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom. He was an amazing and loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, listening to music, playing the bass guitar and surrounding himself with his family and friends. One of his favorite places he enjoyed being were with his family in England and playing golf with his father and cousin Ted. Steve went into the British military after graduating from school and spent 8 years in the service where he was able to travel and see parts of the world. After he left the Army he went to Saudi Arabia to work at the King Feisal Hospital in Riyadh. From there he moved to the USA and obtained his nursing degree. Continuing his education he earned his MBA in Health Care Administration in 2001.
He is preceded in death by his mother (mum) June Wendy Finch (Birch). Steve is survived by his wife Shelly Finch, daughters Stephanie Gonnelly, Samantha Nelson, granddaughter Victoria Yuengst, grandsons Julius Yuengst and Easton Nelson. His father Anthony Finch, step-mother Karen Finch, sister Caroline Emily Powell, brother in law John Powell. Niece and nephew Teagen Powell and Samuel Powell and cousin Ted van Ommering. Steve had many passions and one of those was that he was an advocate for health care and wanted to ensure everyone had access to health care and living the healthiest and best life they could. He loved all animals but had a special love for rescued cats. Steve will be loved and missed very deeply by all of his family, friends, colleagues and so many more people because he made such a great impression on everyone he met through his amazing life.
