Sherrie was born on January 23, 1952 in Erie, PA to E. Wayne and Martha Colgan. She graduated from Academy High School in Erie and went on to study accounting at Penn State Behrend. Over the years, Sherrie worked at Hammermill, General Electric, and Church and Murdock Electrical Contractors until her retirement.
She was active in the community food banks, both in Erie and Fort Myers. Sherrie was an avid gardener, golfer, loved cruising with friends, and enjoyed boating on Lake Erie for over 40 years.
Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents, E. Wayne and Martha, and her brother, Wayne Colgan.
Survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Joseph; two nieces, Kimberly and Michelle and nephew Mark; sister-in-law, Mary Beth Bell and husband James; and a multitude of good friends in both Erie and Fort Myers Beach.
Services will be private.
