Ronald James Parker

Ronald James Parker Age 84 of Naples, FL passed away on April 13, 2017 He was born on December 19, 1932 in Detroit, MI to Robert and Florence (Miller) Brown Parker. Beloved husband of the late Dolly J. Parker. Loving father of Susan C. Parker and the the late Ronald (Ronnie) S. Parker. Dear grandfather of Matthew R. Parker. He was preceded in death by his two siblings, Douglas Parker and Martha (Parker) Bloom. Ronald graduated from De La Salle High School in Warren, MI. An Army veteran, Ronald sold real estate and was an insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance. He liked music and played saxophone and had his own band. He had a love for the outdoors which included boating, in a boat he called “Blue Beaver”, and also loved deer hunting on the 100 acre property he owned in Gladwin, MI. In the 1980’s he moved to Florida to retire but still continued to travel back and forth to Michigan to sell real estate long after he “retired”. Funeral Mass Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N., Naples, FL 34108 Interment to follow at Hodges at Naples Memorial Gardens.
