He was born in Toledo, OH on March 3, 1944. Ron finished his undergraduate degree at the University of Toledo followed by dental school at the Ohio State University where he graduated with honors. He continued his higher education with postgraduate work in orthodontics at OSU. He held advanced certification in diagnosis and treatment planning in surgical orthodontics as well as oral and maxillofacial studies and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honorary Society.
Ron served his country as a captain in the U.S Air Force from 1970-1972 and then in the Air Force Reserves from 1972-1980.
Ron practiced orthodontics in Toledo, OH from 1974-1994 where he raised his two children alongside his loving wife, Sue Nassar. Ron was involved in a multitude of community service and social activities, but had a special passion for golf, tennis and serving in his church. He also graciously volunteered his time as a member of The Cleft Palate Clinic at St Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH from 1974-1994. After retirement, Ron and Sue moved to Naples, FL in 1995 where they eventually settled permanently. He was very active in his community of Colliers Reserve as well as his church. He was well-known for his friendly, engaging nature, warm smile and his ability to remember the names of everyone he met making them feel important and valued.
Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue Nassar, his son, Brad (Elizabeth) Nassar of Chicago, IL and his daughter, Molly (Matthew) Wyse of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Bradley Nassar, Meredith Nassar, Nicholas Nassar, Tyler Wyse, Maxwell Wyse and his sister Sharon (Gus) Culianos.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 1:30-2:30. A memorial service will be at 2:30 immediately followed by a reception at Covenant Church located at 6926 Trail Blvd, Naples, FL
