Roger Frederick Warren was born April 26, 1941 in Hillingdon, England. During WWII, Roger was evacuated at age 4 to Scotland, and shortly after returned to live with his parents and siblings in Eastcote, England.
Roger studied business at Hull University. After graduating, he moved himself to Toronto, Canada in 1962, where he started his business career and met his wife, Lucille Thériault. They soon welcomed their two sons, Michael and Andrew.
In 1977, Roger and his family relocated to Chicago, Illinois. In 1985, they moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where Roger became integral to the growth of Rayovac Corporation as a senior member of the executive team.
In his spare time, Roger enjoyed playing golf and tennis with his sons, and playing bridge. After retirement from the battery industry, Roger and his eldest son, Michael, started a successful chain of automotive shops in Naples, Florida. Roger sat on several company boards and enjoyed helping young companies grow.
Roger also helped those with financial obstacles to pursue their education. Apart from scholarships and funding to his alma mater , Roger served on the board of challenged-youth organizations. He volunteered his time mentoring high school students in the business club and gave guidance to those interested in business startups.
Roger passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lucille Warren, and their children Michael Warren (partner Kala) and Andrew Warren (wife Annie). He is also survived by his brother, Richard Warren (wife Lynda) and sister, Celia Warren.
A visitation for Roger will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108. Following the visitation will be a celebration of life at 2:15 PM at Hodges Funeral Home At Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, Florida 34108.
