Robert “Bob” Thomas of Naples, FL, formerly of Roanoke, VA passed away on December 14, 2022. He was born on Dec. 7 1949. Bob was a native of Roanoke, VA. He had a long and successful career with Norfolk & Southern in Roanoke & Atlanta. Being an active member of the Kiwanis in both Roanoke & Naples, FL.,he served on the board of directors for the Roanoke Kiwanis club and was chosen as Vice President but stepped down because he was moving to Florida. In Naples, FL with the Kiwanis, Bob had just been given the Chase Van Keef award and also Rookie of the year for his continued support and serving. Cruising, playing golf, working on cars, and getting his hands on something to tinker with and fix were some of his favorite pastimes. Bob loved his daughters, they were his world and he was very proud of both of them. Bob will never be forgotten by his contagious smile or silly laugh and his willingness to always learn. Bob is survived by his former wife, mother of his two daughters, Jean Thomas and his two daughters, Leslie Thomas and Stephanie Noonan. A Celebration of Life will be held in Roanoke, VA at a later date.
