Dear Karin,

I can not thank you enough for providing me the opportunity to work with your extordinary husband. 

Over the past several months getting to know Bob, and you has been my honor and priviledge. 

I will miss this "brilliant man" who was a gentlemen and a scholar with his own unique, "Je ne sais quoi." 

I understand how you must deeply miss him, and you have my heart felt compassion for your loss.

Bob was an enormous figure in my life. One of the really good guys. Very little in my life was untouched by Bob. You all have my condolences and prayers

It has been my pleasure to have married in to this family, and been able to know Bob from within. My father in-law was a special man, having been a steady rock-of-Gibralter to the family from so many angles....
Advice, support, level headed wisdom...my life, my children's lives, my husband's life, are all better for his presence. It's strange to think about him not being around any more, and that we'll have to bear those moments when we would really love to have him there. There are things in our lives, both physical and esoteric, that will serve to remind us of him for the rest of our days. The legacy he has left behind shows in the people he touched and the ways he shared himself. He will be very, very missed.

Hats off to Bob for a life well done!  

He is one of the rare ones and he will be missed.

    Bob was such an integral part of PGA for many, many years, giving sound advice, keeping our finances in order and always being a gentle and caring human being.  We will miss him terribly.  Thank you for sharing him with us.

Dear Karin - Finding words at this time is difficult.  Bob was such a special man; so kind, so gentle; so wonderfully intelligent.  

My fondest memory of him is when he sought me out at the apartment we were renovating in NYC and, needing an update, asked where I was. I told him I was on the Upper East Side and he asked what street. I said East End Avenue. Slowly, he asked what number and I responded - 55. After another pause he said.....I used to live in that building.....you had better not barbecue on that terrace or you'll be in trouble!  We laughed about that many times. 

Of course, when Bob was treasurer of the Port Royal Property Association, his precision and accuracy was recognized by all. Although, for me, the greatest benefit of working with him was that I got to meet Karin.  She is wonderfully caring and a devoted wife -- a lovely woman. 

Ernie and I speak of how fortuitous it was to run into you two on that trip to NYC, being able to meet her and, now, to know her so well.  

Karin..... dear friend..... please understand.....Bob's memory will always be with us.....

Uncle Rob ... Always intriguing ... to a little girl of 10 or a grown woman of 53.  You were my first toe socks, my first trip to NYC, my first 9:30 dinners because there were just too many adventures to experience during the days, my first smoked cheese, my first chauffeured dinner out (with my family!), my first Pinot Grigio, advised me into my first ETF ... And my only Uncle Rob.  You treated my family to lunch at Windows on the World and 2 months later the buildings were gone.  You had interests and vision that crossed many lines, and reveled in being the only registered democrat in Naples, "Which makes me the subject of much suspicion," you grinned.  Though I have never entered politics, I will never forget your urging me to do so ... Thank you for your letter and stories about my father.  Thank you for your letters, articles, and interest over all the years.  You will be missed ... Like it or not.

Rob was a great man - so very successful in business and a loving husband and father.  He was also a great brother to me.  He was the patriarch of our family, making sure our mother had all she needed and always there when I needed him.  He will be missed by me and all of my family.

Karin, please accept my heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your wonderful husband.  Bob was a role model of mine...I so admired his gentle, wise ways; and learned so much from him during our tenure with PGA.  What a lovely gentleman...I will miss him very much.

Thanks for being a valued member of PGA. Your wisdom and wit will be greatly missed.

Our Condolences to Karin and the family. Bob was a wonderful friend to my father and a real pleasure to be around. I remeber him most for his commitment to PGA and helping others in the community.
