Richard was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 5, 1941. He graduated from Cooley High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and his MBA from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He was married to his beautiful wife and loving partner Jeanne A. McIntyre on December 17, 1962.
Richard’s education and true entrepreneurial spirit served him well in developing several successful companies throughout his professional life. He built many special relationships through his easy demeanor and generous heart. His love & passion for golf led to wonderful friendships over the years. He was a member of Forest Lake Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan since 1979 and served as President of the Club in 2005. He was also a member Colliers Reserve Country Club in Naples, Florida since 1999. His joy of golf led to achieving two hole-in-ones at Forest Lake Country Club, one of which resulted in winning a new car. He was genuinely loved and respected by many. His true passions in life included his adoring family, golf, playing the piano, quality time with close friends, and world travel. He was also a member of the Commanderie de Bordeaux Wine Club in Naples, Florida.
He loved James Bond movies, and his signature drink was a good Bombay Sapphire gin Martini, up with a twist.
Survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeanne McIntyre, daughter Diane Greyerbiehl (Scott) of Bloomfield Hills Michigan, and son Richard J. McIntyre proceeded in death on August 9, 1990.

Brother Gilbert McIntyre, of Laguna Nigel CA, proceeded in Death by sister Dorothy McIntyre
A Celebration of Life will take place 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 18th, 2023, at Hodges Funeral Home, Naples Florida on located at 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108. A luncheon will follow at Colliers Reserve Country Club Country located at 11711 Collier's Reserve Dr, Naples, FL 34110.
