Mary was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Thomas and Jeananne (Nolan) Eagan. Mary was the second of eight Eagan siblings.
Mary earned her nursing degree from St. Clare’s Hospital Nursing School in 1974. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse in New York City at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center; Chicago’s Northwestern Hospital; and in Atlanta’s Northside and Stone Mountain Hospitals.
Mary’s focus on people in need continued, including the delivery of medical supplies and hospital visits with Americares, the disaster relief and global health organization, to Kosovo during the war in 1998.
Subsequent from her retirement from nursing in 2004, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sara Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York.
Mary was actively involved in several Naples not-for-profit organizations, including Christ Child and Collier Books for Kids.
Mary and Rob are members of Royal Poinciana and Bay Colony golf clubs, as well as the Pelican Bay Yacht Club.
Survivors include her husband C. Robert Henrikson of Naples and her sons Robert E. Henrikson and his wife Kimberly of New Canaan, CT, Matthew B. Henrikson and his wife Sara of New York City, Kellen and Terence Caufield-Tyler of Brooklyn as well as grandchildren Rhys, Lane, Willem, and Whitaker Henrikson.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, February 12th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108 with a reception immediately following at Bay Colony Golf Club.
