Mary Ann Elizabeth Wenke

MARY ANN WENKE passed away peacefully on November 2, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 13, 1932 in Maspeth, New York, the daughter of Alfred (Chip) & Viola Donner. She lived in New York City enjoying her career as a paralegal secretary for several law firms until retiring with her husband to Naples, Florida in 1983. Together with her husband, she worked as property manager at Bay Terrace in Naples until 1997, as well as performed volunteer work with Naples Community Hospital for several years.

She married Edward H. Wenke Jr. in 1953. Together they raised four children: Melanie A. Wenke of Naples, FL; Laura J. Wenke of Paris, France; Edward H. Wenke III Tracey Wenke of Connecticut and Jennifer L. Wenke of Bonita Springs, FL.

She also had Five Grandchildren (Meredith Coyne, Ann Elysa Hurst, Tanya Wenke, Briahna Wenke & Travis Wenke) and One Great-Grandaughter (Vaida Sayers). Her favorite actor is Thomas Calabro, her other son.

Mary Ann enjoyed dancing, dining, theater and entertaining friends. But mostly she will be remembered by her family as a loving Mother who was always proud of her children. She had a great wit and always enjoyed the humor in life.

Mary Ann is predeceased by her husband and her brother Joseph F. Donner.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00AM to 11:00 am, Funeral to begin at 11:00am on Thursday Nov. 6, 2014 at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens; 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL.
