Luisa M. Rives, 93, of Naples, passed away July 23, 2018. Luisa was born September 2, 1924 in Havana, Cuba, the daughter of the late Abelardo Couret and Hortensia Marcos Fundora.
After coming to the United States Luisa worked for Eli Lilly & Co. for 30 years.
Luisa is survived by her children: Avery Rives, Hilda (Mike) Rives-Princell, Nadya (Issa) Shammas and Anthony (Jennifer) Rives, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband: Emilo Rives.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 4, 12:00 pm at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N., with visitation from 11:00 am to 11:45 am at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N., Naples,. Luisa will be laid to rest next to her husband at Naples Memorial Gardens immediately following the mass.
