Lowell LK K. Wood Sr.

Lowell K. Wood Sr. (L.K.), 89, of Naples, FL, passed away November 22, 2013. He was born May 3, 1924 to Frank and Hazel Wood. A snowbird since the 1980s, Lowell moved to Naples in 2001, coming from St. Louis, MO.

A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, Lowell was a real estate and banking entrepreneur. He retired from L.K. Wood Realty, and was a former Missouri Commissioner of Real Estate. He was a member of Kiwanis, a past board member of a number of banks and of Sunset Country Club in St. Louis; and with his wife, Patty, he served on the board of Sisters of Faith Outreach Mission. He loved golf, politics, and ranching.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Wood of Naples, FL; his children and their spouses: Marlo (Phil) Bamberger of St. Louis, MI, Michaelene (Jack) Koetting of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Meredith (Alex) Watt of San Diego, CA, Lowell K. (Martha) Wood of St. Louis, MO, and Bobbi (Mike) Vujevic of St. Louis, MO. He was the brother of the late Elmer "Bob" (Betty) Wood of New York, the late Mildred Rogers of Michigan, the late Lillian (Ray) Dasno of New York, the late Richard (Pat) Wood of New York, Stan (Kathy) Marks of Ohio, and Gene (Carla) Marks of Arizona. He was the grandfather of Bevin (Dave) Packman of St. Louis, MO, Bridgid (Rob) LaMear of St. Louis, MO, Brianne (Tyler) Breed of St. Louis, MO, Blaise (Bryan) Spiteri of St. Louis, MO, the late Matthew Bamberger, the late Philip Bamberger Jr., J. Patrick Koetting of Cape Girardeau, MO, J. Michael Koetting of Seattle WA, the late J. Tim othy Koetting, Kori (Cliff) Gandy of Temeculah, CA, Robin Koetting of Cape Girardear, MO, Casey Koetting of Seattle, WA, Meredith Solano of San Diego, CA, Kevin (Shae) Watt of San Francisco, CA, L.K. Visitation will be held Monday 6-9pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, Naples, FL with a Funeral Service Tuesday 11am at Faith Lutheran Church, Naples FL.
