She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert M. Taft to whom she was married 55 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Katherine T. Timmerman (Michael), grandchildren, Zachary and Katie Timmerman, niece Linda Williams and nephew Ben Williams (Vicki).
Formerly of Atlanta, GA and West Hartford, CT, she graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in music and was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority. She served her country as an officer in the US Navy during WWII and was stationed in Charleston, SC. An avid golfer and musician, she excelled in those endeavors in both competitive and volunteering capacities.
She and her husband moved to Naples 35 years ago. They enjoyed their retirement, golfing, going to the beach, and their grandchildren.
The services will be private, and Louise will be interred at the Naples Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Bentley Village for their nine years of compassion and caring. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to AVOW Hospice of Naples.
