She is survived by her husband Edward of 39 years; three children: Mary Jo Cotilla, Lori Ann Brunetti (Steve), Edward Cotilla III, (Lisa); 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne Coughlan (Dick); and their children Richie (Julie), Erin Jorgensen (Rob), and Tim (Tami) who affectionately referred to her as “Aunt Nin Nin” and all of their children.
Education was a top priority in Linda’s life. She graduated from Archbishop Wood High School for girls, earned a Bachelors degree from West Chester University, and a Masters degree in Library Sciences from Villanova University, in 1977.
Linda was the head librarian at Temple University in Ambler, PA until her retirement in 2006. The year she spent abroad in Italy was one of the highlights of her Temple career.
Linda’s love of research was evident in her ability to master whatever skill or task she was interested in. She became avid at needlepoint, quilting, gardening, cooking, tennis, horseback riding, playing Bridge and many other games. She was competitive, enthusiastic, and inquisitive about all things and she happily shared her knowledge and expertise with the grandchildren she loved so much.
Linda was active in her community as one of the founding board members at Northampton Library and the lead organizer of the Senior Games in Northampton, PA. She also volunteered her time caring for the horses in the stables at the George School in Newtown, PA. Linda was an ultimate pet lover and had many beloved cats and dogs throughout her life. She leaves behind her precious Yorkie, Paige.
Linda was an enthusiast who lived life to the fullest and she leaves behind a lasting legacy. She will always be remembered in the hearts of the many lives she touched.
