Karen Harhen

Karen F. Harhen, passed away peacefully at age 56 on the morning of Wednesday November 14,2018 at Hope Healthcare in Cape Coral, FL. She was born on October 2, 1962 in Oaklawn, IL to George and Carol (Werner) Harhen. She is a 1981 graduate of Belvidere High School in Belvidere, IL. She was a loving and caring mother to her three sons. Her surviving two sons were both able to spend her final days by her side. There is some comfort to be taken knowing now she will be rejoining her son Zachary in heaven. She also was a true animal lover spending her days with her two loving Burnese mountain dogs ( Bernice and Penelope) and her turtle (Tomeka). She enjoyed spending time with her friends and prayer group. She worked in the Cable TV industry for many years a career for which she really loved. She would like to be remembered as a strong willed, hard worker. She is survived by her sons Joshua Eric (Heather) Hentges and Matthew Scott Hentges. Her father George (Nancy) Harhen. Brothers John (Cynthia) Harhen and George Harhen. Sisters Gayle (Dave) Swanson and Lyndy (William) Little. She was predeceased by her son Zachary David Landon and mother Carol Moran. Visitation is to be held on Friday November 16 between hours of 2pm and 6pm with burial to be held Saturday November 17 at 3pm. At Hodge Funeral Home 525 111th ave.
