June Elizabeth Thompson, 85, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016. She was born on June 16, 1931 to Harry and Helen Sweinberg in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She married Floyd Thompson in Pennsylvania and together they moved to Miami in 1954 where they raised three children, and later moved to Collier County in Naples, Florida where they began their retirement. She spent her last days at Waters Edge Assisted Living Facility where she died of natural causes.
She was predeceased in death by her husband Floyd in June 1997. She is survived by her children Ronald Thompson (Rose), Debra Vosters (John), and Kenneth Thompson; brother Harry Sweinberg (Barbara); sister Beth Kelly (Walter); sister Margie Franklin (Richard); seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She had a love for flowers and enjoyed tending to her flower beds, was interested in interior decorating, and loved taking care of her family. She was a wonderful Christian woman whose spirit lives on in her family and friends. She is a member of The Moorings Presbyterian Church in Naples, Florida.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a service to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Garden, 525 111th Avenue North, Naples, Florida 34108.
