Joseph R. Pelletier, a 40 year resident of Naples, FL passed away peacefully on October 6th, 2013 in Mobile, AL, where he had resided for the past two years.
Immediate family members preceding him in death include his wife, Peggy Pelletier 2012; and son, Marc Pelletier 2004.
Joseph is survived by his three children; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Surviving family members include: daughter, Laura Pelletier; son, William Pelletier (Andrea); daughter, Kim Wiggins (David); grandchildren: Jennifer Parzy (Jason), Ashley Herms and children son/ Kai and daughter/ Darby. Danielle Lavender (Zack) daughters Haley and Kholie, Christen Broxson, Traver Wiggins, Dacie Naber (Corey) and son Maddex and Ciara Pelletier.
Joseph was born in Maine, served in the Air Force as a young man then settled in Greenwich, CT, where he met and married his wife of 52 years, Peggy Pelletier (Barnes). Shortly after moving his family to Naples in 1972, Joseph created the Real Estate Buyers Guide. Working with many of the Realtors during the mid 70's, Joe and Peggy carved a pathway for home buying not previously seen in the Naples area.
In the 1990's Joseph was asked to serve on the Board of Directors for the First National Bank of Naples, just being created at that time. He was also an active member of the mens Rotary Club and a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus. Joe always put his family first and served as an amazingly strong husband, father, father-inlaw, grandfather and great grandfather.
He will be remembered for his character, his charisma, his magic tricks and of course...that hair! We will miss you Pep!
A memorial service to celebrate the lives of both Joe and Peggy will be held on Saturday, November 9th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., at Hodges @ Naples Memorial Gardens.
Friends and family are invited to join. A reception will be held immediately following the service.
