Joseph "JoJo" Scavone

Born in Paterson, NJ on January 25, 1936 the son of Paul and Marie Antionette (Orsita) Scavone. Joseph attended Paterson schools and graduated Paterson Technical School with a degree in carpentry and wood working. He enlisted in the Army with his closest friends in 1955. He was with the 10th Mountain Division and received a sharp shooter medal. In 1968 in Hackensack, NJ he married Betty Lou Mitchell. Joseph and Betty lived in Ho-Ho-Kus New Jersey before retiring to Naples, Florida. He was an avid corvette enthusiast and Giants fan.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Lou Mitchell Scavone; daughter, Michelle and grandson Joe; sisters, Patricia (Bill) Haller and Marie Scavone; along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108 with visitation one hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or AVOW Hospice.
