Oh My God ,  I'm So Sorry to hear this,  I just Talked with JoeyD to end of February.  Joe was Like a Brother to me . We Meet up in Seattle, Wa.  We Played Sports, Basketball, Tennis, Water Skiing.  We Traveled to Reno together many times to play Tennis,  We also went up to Canada to Play Tennis and Basketball. We also Partied, Went out Dancing with cute Women Ya me and Joe had some Fun . Me and Joe Talked Just about every Month,  I even Called him on his Birthday,  now I know why there was no Answer.  Joe I will Miss you Brother and always think of you.  I lost JoeyD one of the Coolest  Friends in my entire Life    If someone Could call me and let me know What Happened to my Brother. This is  Mike in California 559-385-1925 

I am so sorry to know you lost Joey so early.  I am a customer of Joe’s Diner and enjoyed a cup of Joe and a breakfast sandwich for the last 18 years. We will miss his smiling handsome face.
RIP Joey D

I first met joe in bend oregon. We were probably in our mid to late 20s. We met at a downtown bar, he was sitting at the bar, I was at a table. He tossed his wallet at me and said buy yourself a drink. I tossed it back not realizing he had a wheelchair stashed somewhere in the restraunt. I agreed to a date without realizing he had an injury and was mostly wheelchair bound. He asked me where I wanted to eat, I said I loved the sizzler. He laughed. I didn't understand why that was funny. We dated for awhile.  We had so much fun.  He was always happy, sarcastic and was able to bring a smile to everyone's face. We fell in love. We remained friends and he was always supportive of me. He was such a beautiful and brave soul. We once left a bar through the back door and were confronted by some drunk guys accusing him of faking his injury. They knocked him out of his chair, he didn't miss a beat, he invited these jerks to join him on the ground and he proceeded to teach them a lesson by beating the crap out of them. I will always love that guy. I will never forget his voice, his laughter. And his ability to lift up others no matter what.  ❤️

Joey loved my Big Black Lab and I often visited in the evening talked about skiing, his business, and life while Joey petted the dog. Joe was proud of his fish tank. He knew the various breeds of fish.  He would meet me outside for the 10:30 Pm walk with my dog. And look at the Stars and constellations. But Joey really came out to see the dog.  Joey showed me the kitchen operation  and how he was proud of his restaurant. Joey and I shared a lot of laughs and he spoke of his father and sister who he loved but gave them a hard time.  So glad Joey got to see Italy and Mexico with his wife. Lots of good memories. Joey was a friend. As long as he is remembered he lives.

So sorry for your loss, we have been regular customers for years.  The Goodall Family, Naples

Cousin (or Gus as you used to call us),
You were an inspiration to all around you in so many ways.  You defied odds, lived your life to the fullest and were an unstoppable force. Your accomplishments are immeasurable and will be remembered forever.  I pray that you and Grandma are together in peace ❤️

Joey.. 
You were my first boss, for years I was under your wing. A teenager who had little direction. You taught me lessons of how to be resilient, of how I don’t need the world to endorse me, I just have to work hard. You were unendingly fierce and yet still kind. Thank you for all the things you never knew you taught me. I pray we meet again.

Never a dull moment in our little fast paced diner.  You took such pride in presentation, service and the nostalgia of your beautiful restaurant.  Not only were you a boss but a good friend.  You chose to live your life following no ones rules but your own.  You created a successful business, that hands down in the height of it had no competition.  We were award winning for a reason.
You were loved and you will be missed.  I will always be proud to say I was a part of your team!  People always told me everything was great when they dined at your table.

Joseph I will always remember the great times we had in Seattle, after your accident and getting the Construction part of your History to a good point. The Work you did with the Wheelie Team will always bring tears of joy and adoration for what you accomplished. You took what you were dealt and turned that into a Royal Flush. Proud is what you are.
