Irene K. Butler

She was born on October 21, 1932 in Akron Ohio. She was the daughter of Mike & Elizabeth Matulin

Irene has been a long time resident of Naples and active member of North Naples United Methodist Church.

Irene retired from her career in banking 1994 to help her late husband, Nolen, run the family business, Nolen's Permitting & Courier Service where she continued to work until January of this year.

Irene was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother "Granny" and will forever be in our hearts.

Irene has a very large extended family with many nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws, out laws and dear friends. For several generations she was known as "Aunt Irene" or just Irene. She was kind hearted, gentle and quick to share a hug.

She is survived by her son, Scott Butler (Tracy), Chiefland, FL; daughter, Jennie Gasperson, Naples; grandchildren, Hank Gasperson (Anneke Prince), Naples, Scott Butler Jr. (Caitlin), Naples, Kaycee Butler, Naples, Ryan Gasperson, Naples, Kelsey Butler, Cape Coral, FL, Cheyenne Butler, Chiefland, FL;

step grandchildren, Amber Romano (TJ), Plant City, FL, Michael Tucker (Kelsey), Chiefland, FL,

great grandchildren; Brantley Gasperson, Olivia, Madelyn & Canaan Butler, Vivian & Ryan Jr Gasperson, Austyn Romano, Wyatt, Oliver Tucker; brother Fred Matulin, Tucson AZ; and sister, Frances Matulin that joined Irene in heaven on June 23, 2019.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 49 years Nolen; son, Nolen Jr.; parents, Mike & Elizabeth; and sister, Doris Merickel.

Your work is done here mom, go rest with the Lord, dad & Nolen Jr. Watch over us until we meet at Heaven's gate.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Irene's life on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at North Naples United Methodist Church, in the chapel located at 6000 Goodlette Rd Naples, FL 34109. Reception immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations be made to North Naples United Methodist Church or Avow Hospice Naples.
