Harry Paul Balzert

surrounded by his wife Evelyn (Viehbeck) Balzert and other family and friends on Friday, October 21, 2022, while in the care of AVOW Hospice in Naples, FL.

Harry, born in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, was the son of the late Paul and Elsie Lehmann Balzert, the

beloved father of the late Leslie Ann Sparks, husband of the late June Schawalder Balzert, husband of

the late Evelyn Gross Balzert, grandfather of William F. (Michelle) Sparks and Erin (Andy) Zeigler, great

grandfather of Leah Sparks, uncle of Hal Balzert, and stepfather of Jane (Dave) Kunz, Sharon (Bob)

Haas, and Joseph Viehbeck.

Harry was a former resident of Pittsburgh, PA, and the owner of Balzert Automotive for over 35 years.

He was a proud member of the United States Army and a Korean War Veteran, a 50 year Mason and a

member of the Teutonia Mannerchor.

After retiring to Naples, Florida, Harry became an active karaoke singer and could be found singing five

nights a week throughout Naples where he was embraced by many wonderful new friends. Harry and

Evelyn moved to their new residence at Discovery Village of Naples in November of 2021, where he

again made many new friendships.

Interment (date to be announced) will be at the Sarasota National Cemetery as well as A Celebration of

Life (date to be announced).
