Jerry was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. Jerry passed away in his home surrounded by loved ones after losing a hard-fought battle with MDS cancer. He grew up in the small town of Candia, NH and attended Central High School in Manchester from 1979-1982. He lived in Manchester, Raymond, Candia, Goffstown, Grafton, and a few other towns in NH before he moved to Bradenton Florida in April 1995, and then to Naples, Florida in 1998 and began the rest of his life. Later in life, he went on to attend International College, know as Hodges University now, in Naples, FL where he received a degree in Computer Technology. He went on to start his own computer business in 2007, called Collier Computer Systems. Jerry enjoyed being his own boss and the computer world and would help various friends and family members with all their computer needs.
He enjoyed family life and traveling with his beloved wife, Sandy of twenty-nine years. Spending time joking and being silly with his granddaughter. Taking care of his yard and all his plants. He also had a very special bond with his two dogs, Honey and Penny-Lane. Jerry was a dog person and over the years he and his wife rescued and rehomed over 100 foster dogs. He loved big dogs; an occasional single-malt scotch as a drink; He loved photography as an art; sunsets and sunrises; but sunrises more, He liked slow quiet hikes through the woods; new high-tech gadgetry; the show Cops, fast cars, muscle cars, drag racing; and NHRA all the way!
He loved the smell of fresh cotton laundry; baking bread and the true warmth of sweet hot cocoa on a cold winter morning! He loved sleeping late on Saturday/Sunday mornings; social gatherings with family and good friends; feeling the hot beach sand underneath his bare feet, the crackle of a hot campfire; soft bunny fur; ice-cold Moxie soda; He could listen to the laughter of young children all day long, but especially loved his wife's laugh; He also talked about how he loved the sound the wind makes blowing through the tall pine trees out back!
He leaves behind a loving wife, Sandra L. Rancourt-Landry (Naples, FL), two children Cherri-Anne (Raymond, NH) and Andrew-Joseph (Naples, FL) and one granddaughter Ella Raine Bergman (Raymond, NH). Five surviving siblings Irene-Landry Gelinas (Sun City Center, FL) Albert C. Landry (Sun City Center, FL) Jackie L. Landry (Kodiak AK), Thomas G. Landry (Goffstown, NH) Jean L. Landry (Sun City Center, FL). He also leaves behind a lifetime of many loving friends and extended family.
Jerry had the biggest heart and loved unconditionally and was a very special man, he was so loved and was a true fighter throughout his long-term health issues. He put up a hard fight to stay with us but his time came to an end and he returned home to our heavenly father to experience eternal peace and happiness he so desperately deserved.
He will be missed by all who knew him...
