Gary Douglas Case M. D. passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 following an eight-year battle with lymphoma. He established the first endocrinology practice in Collier County in 1982. He was a loving husband and father.
Born July 27, 1951 in Bradford, PA, Dr. Case graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with highest distinction from Pennsylvania State University in 1973. He obtained his medical degree at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in 1977. From 1977 until 1982, Dr. Case served his medical internship, residency, and endocrinology fellowship at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Dr. Case was a Fellow in both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology. He was also a member of Acacia Social Fraternity.
Dr. Case leaves behind his wife, Dr. Patrice Case of Naples, FL, and his two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Case of Chicago, IL, and Emily Christine Case of New York, NY. He is also survived by his parents, Douglas and Arlene Case of Lewis Run, PA and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Jo, in 1969.

The family will receive friends at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 9:00am until 11:00am at which time a memorial service will be held.
