Frank graduated from BGSU (Bowling Green State Univ./ OH) in 1961. He married the love of his life, Linda, on June 9, 1962 and they moved to Germany four days later, to pursue his military career. Frank was a Vietnam Veteran with the 4th Infantry, and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain (on the Majors list).
In 1975 Frank started MotivAction Inc (Incentive & Travel Co.), based in Minneapolis, MN. He started this business with himself and one salesman. When Frank landed the John Deere & Co. account, this set an upward trajectory, that became a multi million dollar corporation. Frank and Linda recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed traveling the world together and being with their children and later their grandchildren.
As a family, they enjoyed flying (Frank had his pilots license), fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, (downhill and water), tennis, golf, board games and cards. Boating brought a special joy for him and the family. Frank and Linda joined the United States Power Squadrons (Lake Minnetonka squadron). Frank served as their Squadron Cdr., District Cdr., and was on the National Board.
Lisa and Jill remember their father as the man who was always there for them. He coached their softball teams, and instilled in them-that family comes first.
Frank put up a valiant fight for over 40 years and was the longest living survivor of Polymyositis at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He never complained or asked "why me". He had a generous heart, was a man of integrity, was polite, considerate and gentlemanly, as well as respected.
To the world he was just one person... but to his family... he was the world.
The family would like to thank AVOW Hospice in Naples, FL, for making his last days peaceful and comforting, with dignity and respect.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda (Golle) Livingston and fur babies Samantha and Zoey
