Eileen Marie Phillips of Naples, FL, Southampton and Holland, PA, passed away on Monday June 21st, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on 12-30-45, Eileen was the second of five children born to Raymond “Roy” & Anna Bond (nee Hennessy). Eileen graduated from Immaculate Conception Grammar School in Germantown, PA, and Saint Hubert’s High School in Philadelphia, PA, and later attended Bucks County Community College in Newtown, PA.
Eileen enjoyed a long career in financial services, during which she counseled her clients on a range of ways to strengthen their financial futures. Over the years she was employed in this capacity by a number of banks and insurance companies in the greater Philadelphia area.
In her personal life, Eileen was a devoted Grandmother to Jack and Nicholas Daly, and loving partner of 33 years to Jim Mullen. She was a woman of warmth, humor, inquisitiveness, and great spunk. She enjoyed people, learning, reading, and travel. Over many years Eileen especially enjoyed time spent with Jim in Barnegat Light, NJ, Nantucket, MA, the Caribbean Islands and Naples, FL. She will surely be missed by her family and friends.
Eileen and Jim deeply appreciated the compassionate and loving care that she received from her caregivers at VITAS Hospice in recent days, and from the Doctors and Nurses within the NCH Healthcare System in recent years.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Anna Bond, and her grandson Tom Allen Starrett. She is survived by her daughter Renee Michele Phillips of Fairless Hills, PA, her grandsons John “Jack” Daly and Nicholas T. Daly of Yardley, PA, her siblings Raymond L. Bond of Palmetto, FL, James J. Bond of Philadelphia, PA, Maryanna Bond of Glen Dale, MD, and John Bond-Kern of San Francisco, CA, her nieces Joy Ann Roseberry and Colleen Bond-Marcus, her nephews Raymond J. Bond and Donald Bond, and her Partner-In-Life James E. Mullen of Naples, FL, and Holland, PA.
At Eileen’s request a private memorial gathering will be held in Naples, FL. If desired, donations in her memory may be made to The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
