It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Norma Da Silva, 75, of Naples, Florida. She passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2022, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, and was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her death. Norma was born on February 18, 1947 in Bushey, Hertfordshire, England to Norman and Hannah Garfield.
Norma lived life to the fullest. She was a remarkable woman full of poise and grace. She enjoyed traveling the world and taking in the culture of the many countries she visited. Her nurturing spirit extended to her love of gardening and she took great pride in cultivating a beautiful garden. Being with her family was what Norma enjoyed most of all. Her love and devotion to her family was truly the center of her life. She has touched the lives of so many with her unconditional love, generosity, kindness, and radiant smile. She will be forever missed.
She is survived by her adoring husband, David Da Silva, her groom of 53 years; her three loving daughters, Rachael, Maria (Schaus), and Natalie (Kiefer); their spouses, Rick (Kiefer), Bryan (Schaus) and Laura (Melbourne); as well as her six grandchildren, Molly, Mia, Olivia, Ricky, Harrison, and Maclane. She is also survived by her brother, Arthur Garfield. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Maureen (Jenkins).
A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church 625 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108 Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00 am. A reception will be held immediately following Mass in the Nazareth Room located on the church grounds. We will gather to share some of our favorite stories, our memories, and to remember a remarkable woman who is deeply missed.
