Dean Jones, what can we say? You were only 52 years young when our Lord called you home. Your time here with us all was entirely way too short but every one of us are blessed in so many ways for knowing you as the amazing man you were.
Born May 3rd,1966 in Dearborn, Michigan, you were the youngest of three children to Bill and Gloria Jones, sadly losing your sister Linda at her early age of 21. Growing up with sister Claudia, you both spent endless summers with your family and parents at your beloved cottage on the shores of Lake Erie.
Graduating from Western Michigan in December of 1989 with a degree in Engineering, and after years of visiting your parents who had retired to Naples, you decided to make Naples your permanent home. You earned your wings as a private pilot in the spring of 1991 opening up a career in aviation that would last you your lifetime. After 5 years in Naples you met your partner for life, your beautiful wife, Kim Ostojich, marrying her in 1995. The two of you together raised son Derek,19, and your daughter Amber, now just 16.
You left us as an Aerospace Engineer working for Parker Hannifin in Naples since 1998, recently promoted to Operations Manager just last month. You loved every Ford Mustang, and I mean every Ford Mustang ever made since 1964. Your passions outside of your career included cheering for your beloved Detroit Lions and boating out on the open sea. Most importantly, you loved your family and we loved you. Godspeed to you Dean Jones, thank you for everything you gave us. Your quick wit and humor will live on with us forever!
Dean is survived by his wife of 23 years Kim (Ostojich) Jones; children Derek and Amber, Mother Gloria Jones, sister Claudia and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Bill Jones and sister Linda Jones.
Family, friends, and others who touched Dean's life are invited to his Celebration Tribute to be held January 26th at 2 p.m. Hodges Funeral Home, 525 111th Ave N. Naples, Florida, 34108.
