Catherine Elaine Valvo, age 93 of Naples, Florida passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, at Solaris North in Naples Florida surrounded by her family and the dedicated staff at Solaris Senior Living and Avow Hospice.
Catherine was born in Medford, Massachusetts to the late Michael and Frances Prestia. Catherine was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family more than life itself. She was a wonderful cook and served her family and friends well with her gift of entertainment. She had a servant's heart and taught us life lessons by example. She loved her family and friends unconditionally.
Survivors include her loving daughters Angela Valvo Collins and husband Greg of Naples FL; Denise Valvo Welch and husband Joe of Mashpee, MA. Her beloved grandchildren Ryan Welch of Marlborough, MA and Meghan Welch of Boston, MA. And her brother Charles Prestia and sister-in-law Fran Prestia of Venice Florida and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Salvatore and Leonard Prestia.
Catherine will be celebrated at a funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples, FL on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
